The U.S. Department of Justice’s National institute of Justice is seeking applications for funding for a rigorous evaluation project to examine juvenile corrections executive leadership training. The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention is supporting training to assist juvenile facility superintendents and other juvenile corrections personnel in their efforts to develop and implement effective facility practices and strategies for youth in their custody. This solicitation is focused on a formative evaluation and evaluability assessment, not to exceed a 24-month period of performance. This solicitation supports the U.S. Department of Justice’s priority of reducing crime by supporting an evaluation effort on corrections workforce training and education with implications for the safety and well-being of youth and staff in juvenile residential facilities and the successful reintegration of youth under corrections supervision.
The solicitation provides further details about the program. Applications are due by August 12.
