The 2019 National Mentoring Summit, hosted by MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, will feature more than 80 workshops that explore this year’s theme: “Building Relationships, Advancing the Movement.” The workshops will offer an array of prevalent topics such as how to make programmatic changes based on research and data, collective impact in the mentoring field, and mentoring youth with mental health illnesses. Workshop sessions showcase exemplary program models, collaborations, research, and innovations that have positive implications for strengthening the mentoring field. Sessions include Police Department Youth Outreach and Mentoring Programs–Partnering with Schools and Juvenile courts; Culturally Smart Relationships–Creating Space for Mentor Reflection and Personal Growth; and Boosting Protective Factors through an Innovative Mentoring Program for Youth Impacted by a Parent’s Substance Addiction.
