The 20th Global Youth Justice Training will offer information on teen, peer, youth, student, court, and peer jury diversion programs, which are volunteer-driven youth justice and juvenile justice diversion programs that harness positive peer pressure in a peer judgment setting to help address antisocial, delinquent, and criminal behavior. There will be more than 20 training sessions on topics including improving mandated community service; recruiting/training adult and youth volunteers; improving family intake meetings; community partnerships; screening for substance addictions; and involving victims. Presenters will share tips, strategies, and ideas they have gleaned from what they have learned from their own diversion programs.
