Awards_OJJDPThe U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking applications for its FY 2018 Initiative to Develop a Research-Based Practice Guide to Prevent and Reduce Youth Violence in Communities. The purpose of the initiative is to support the development of a practice guide to prevent and reduce youth-perpetrated gun and gang violence. The successful applicant will work with OJJDP to develop a practice guide for local government and law enforcement agencies that is evidence- and research-based, has practical application and measurable steps, and builds on previous knowledge and work. The initiative will include the synthesis of rigorous research about effective interventions at the community level as well as the identification of the community factors, physical environments, policies and practices, and social and cultural conditions that may inhibit or facilitate successful implementation.
