The U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is accepting applications for the FY 2018 Innovations in Community-Based Crime Reduction (CBCR) Program (formerly known as the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation program). The grant provides funding to enhance local and tribal communities’ capacity to effectively target and address significant and violent crime issues in neighborhoods with high rates of crime through collaborative cross-sector approaches that are linked with broader neighborhood development goals. The CBCR program is part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods Suite of Programs, which is focused on reducing violent crime.
The solicitation provides further details about the program. Applications are due by April 30.
