The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is seeking applications for its Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) initiative, which is designed to address systemic responses to youth homelessness and significantly reduce the number of youth experiencing homelessness in up to 25 participating communities (eight of which will be rural).
Round 3 of the YHDP initiative is now available, but is limited to a community’s Continuum of Care (CoC) Collaborative Applicant. The application by the community’s CoC must be co-developed with a broad array of community partners through formal participation agreements, and should include state or local child welfare agencies, youth homelessness housing and service providers, faith-based organizations, mental health agencies, local school districts, workforce development organizations, law enforcement, judges, corrections, and/or juvenile justice organizations.
Learn more and apply. Applications are due by May 15.
