Hosted by the National Association of Counties
In the four years since launching Stepping Up, more than 475 counties have joined the national initiative to reduce mental illness in jails. Key to these efforts is having an effective process in place to accurately identify and collect data on individuals with mental illnesses that enter county jails. Counties can use this information to better connect people to treatment and services, make data-driven decisions to identify gaps in services and supports and more efficiently use resources. In this webinar, learn about the three steps counties can take to accurately identify and collect data on people with mental illnesses in jails and the different ways counties are implementing these steps.
