Veronica Everette’ – Speaker
Veronica Everette’ holds a degree in education from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has taught in the Philadelphia school system, has been an independent training consultant winning numerous training contracts with the Washington, DC, local government and with several federal agencies, and has worked for 16 years with the U.S. Department of Treasury,Financial Management Service as a training specialist.
An unwise choice, led Veronica to the Alderson Federal Women’s Camp in Alderson, WV for nine months. While there, she worked in the Education Department helping inmates earn their GED certificates.
Currently, Veronica works with the Community Success Initiative (CSI) where she continues to utilize her training skills as she works with formerly incarcerated individuals as they work towards improving their lives. She is committed to her work in the community and spends many hours interacting with community organizations and local entities learning laws and initiatives and their effects on those with criminal backgrounds.
Veronica enjoys spending time with her two adult children and her grandson. She recently published her first book, “Diamonds…Beyond The Wall” which describes her incarceration and the people whom she met. She hopes that the book will be an inspiration to some; one of enlightenment to others. Veronica has pledged to give a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book back into the community to fight recidivism.
